I spent a couple months with the lovely CBS Interactive crew in SOMA for the Fantasy Football project. To give you an idea of my expertise in football, I’ll tell you this – I referred to the project as “Final Fantasy” for at least an entire week. That said, I got to learn lots of things, like the physics of a football bounce, and the differences between an NFL football and a college football (different stripes). I had a lot of fun researching, conceptualizing, storyboarding, and animating for this project.
I was brought on at Kastner & Partners in Santa Monica to help out with a few ad campaigns. Red Bull was the main one. I helped draw and animate a slew of Red Bull branded characters for a game, a landing page, contests and of course, a myriad of banners. I put in late hours and worked through the winter holiday, but gosh it was fun!
Avatar Labs contracted me out to help them with the Avatar campaign (I know, funny). Basically, the Avatar (film) crew gave Avatar (Labs) one month to complete an entire marketing campaign, including all international ads. Luckily the animations were simple as pie, and boy was it fun to see the artwork before it was released to the public.
This expandable RMA was for the film This Is It. It was a fairly straightforward banner conform for Avatar Labs.
This banner I did for Avatar Labs includes video editing I did with After Effects. Apparently it’s pretty normal to laugh at your own banner as you’re animating it.
