It is one of those glorious things when you can work with a friend and inspiration. I’ve known Simon for years, but we never collaborated on anything until now. He asked me to do some imagery for his Facebook page and spice it up a bit using some of the techniques I have been exploring over on my Instagram feed. These are the concepts I created, and they’ll be posted at different intervals on the site. So far… the feedback we’ve gotten has been awesome!
Symbols Recordings is my ongoing passion project with Kastle. The record label releases forward thinking electronic music, while exploring dimensions of aesthetics in addendum to music- visual, philosophical, scientific… I’ll be posting all of the album artwork here, so check back for more!
You know those exceptionally painful deadlines of “oh, can I get that tomorrow?” …and you sweat your butt off, but manage to pull something together that you thoroughly enjoy? This was one of those projects. Luckily Barrett (a.k.a. Kastle) and I share a lot of the same aesthetics. With this piece, I strayed from the logo-pasted-on-shirt convention, aiming to gain an audience of both fans and curious fashionistas. I say, I have rather enjoyed doing these larger print designs… maybe someday, a whole line!
If you live in Los Angeles, chances are, you won’t escape the amazing promotions of Jordan from The Do Lab. Honestly, their work is EVERYWHERE! I am lucky enough to be able to work with the Flemming brothers, Jordan, and The Do Lab crew as their designer. I think the most exciting part is that I get to do whatever I want and my artwork gets seen by all the Angelenos. It’s like I never left!

I had this piece in mind for something I wanted to do personally. Luckily Tyler (Cryptex) approached me with a similar vision for what he saw for his EP cover, which allowed for an extraordinarily symbiotic situation. He was such a pleasure to work with on this project, and definitely the youngest and most ambitious person I’ve never met; I’m extremely excited to see what will come from him, and for projects to come.
I spent a couple months with the lovely CBS Interactive crew in SOMA for the Fantasy Football project. To give you an idea of my expertise in football, I’ll tell you this – I referred to the project as “Final Fantasy” for at least an entire week. That said, I got to learn lots of things, like the physics of a football bounce, and the differences between an NFL football and a college football (different stripes). I had a lot of fun researching, conceptualizing, storyboarding, and animating for this project.
Worked with the fine people over at Modala for this concept poster for Bassnectar’s Bass Island show in NY. I was told to create an absurd, fantastic, mysterious, mock movie poster. This is what I came up with. Also, did you know there actually is Bass Islands? It’s in Lake Erie. Sure, it might be pronounced “bahss” like the fish, but I’m calling it “bayss” because I’m more fond of bottom frequencies, than fish.
